TLILIC0003 Licence to operate a forklift truck

This unit is based on the requirements of the National Standard for Licensing Persons Performing High Risk Work. The course provides participants with the competency to safely operate a forklift truck.

Course Outcomes
  • Plan work
  • Conduct routine checks
  • Shift load
  • Shut down and secure forklift truck
 
If successful you will receive a Statement of Attainment.
 
You will then need to apply to receive your High Risk Licence (please see State/Territory relevant Course Information Brochure below for information).  Additional fees will apply.

Duration
  • Two days (16 hours)
 
Entry requirements
  • English reading, writing and speaking skills
  • Minimum age of 18 years
You must ensure you bring EVIDENCE OF YOUR IDENTITY with you on both days of training.  Collectively, these documents will include your photograph, date of birth and a verifiable signature (e.g. a driver's licence).  The assessor is required to sight it and take a copy.  Assessors may ask for multiple documents to be produced in order to be satisfied of your identity.  If you cannot provide suitable evidence of identity, the assessor is not allowed to assess you for this unit.
 
If successful, you will be issued with a tax invoice which you can use to get your High Risk Licence within 60 days from an Australian Post Office or Service SA Office at an additional cost.
