The Civil Train Safety Conversation Program is a one-day program designed to provide you with the knowledge, skills and confidence to effectively intervene when you observe an at-risk or safe behaviour or condition in the workplace, and to have an effective conversation.

COURSE OUTCOMES
On completion of the course you will be able to:
 
  • Effectively intervene and have an effective conversation with people and teams when you see something safe or at-risk in the workplace. More specifically:
 

- Observation Skills

- Questioning Techniques

- Feedback Skills

- Gaining Agreement
 
  • Effectively influence people and outcomes by understanding the psychology of behaviour and motivation and the relationship to safety
 

Upon completion you will receive a Statement of Attendance.

DURATION
  • One day (6 hours).  This course is 9am - 3pm.
 
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
  • English reading, writing and speaking skills
