Live Works Training at Davison Earth Movers, Burton, SA:
In partnership with Davison Earth Movers, we have a fully operational civil construction live works site at Burton. WIth a full range of plant directly available for training and assessment, including excavators, front end loaders, skid steers, dump trucks, water cart, tip truck, roller and backhoe, you will be fully immersed in a civil construction site for your training.

SIMULATION:
Interested in incorporating simulation into your training? Or are you an employer that would like to use simulation as part of a Verification of Competency (VoC) process? Civil Train SA houses the largest Civil Construction Simulation Centre in the Southern Hemisphere with over 20 Cat and Volvo simulators, adding flexibility, innovation and value to your training.
COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS FOR USING LOAD SHIFTING EQUIPMENT IN SOUTH AUSTRALIA
To prove competency, operators of load shifting equipment must provide one of the following:
- a previous NSA issued by (or on behalf of) a regulator, such as SafeWork SA
- a statement of attainment or other nationally accredited qualification for the plant operated
- a certificate of competency for the plant or equipment issued by (or on behalf of) a regulator, such as SafeWork SA
- an industry competency card or evidence of training completed at a registered training organisation to a standard equal to NOHSC: 7019
- evidence of appropriate on-the-job training from an experienced and competent operator, with records of that training verified by the competent operator
- evidence of previous experience and competency verified by a current or previous employer.
Operators must also demonstrate that their current level of competency is appropriate for the complexity of the work and the conditions of the worksite.
